Brazil A Report On Torture 1971

A famous American documentary that first exposed the atrocities committed during the Brazilian dictatorship. It features interviews with survivors of detention and the torments endured by death squads. Among those interviewed is the Dominican friar Frei Tito (who committed suicide in 1974 due to the shock he experienced), to whom the film "Batismo de sangue" was also dedicated. The film is moving for its subject matter, but above all for its portrayal of the extent to which torture methods were routinely practiced.
