Stenio works at the morgue in a Brazilian town, where he kills boredom using his unique gift – the ability to talk with the dead. Some of the dead are in denial that it’s over, while others lean on him as a confidant to unload their darker secrets.
At home though, Stenio’s wife can’t stand his presence and the morgue stench that accompanies it. When Stenio discovers something painful going on in his personal life, he uses his gift for the first time to settle scores. But things go haywire because a dead man’s secrets are not to be played with.
The Nightshifter starts off interestingly but devolves into a fairly standard horror flick. You probably wouldn’t miss much if you skipped the 2nd half.
